Sample templates?

Are there any sample templates for weapon scripts? I've never scripted weapons before, but we're on the verge in the next month or so of opening a roleplay sim with mixed weaponry (including some modern weaponry) and we'd really like to use the metalife meter system. I'm confident I can alter a template to fit the needs of basic weapons for use on our sim. I have read and pretty much understand the two tutorials on weapons, but I just don't have a starting point. I've never even seen a weapon script. I know there are plenty of script packages I could buy, but there is something to be said about doing it yourself, plus, those contain scripting also for all the other combat systems out there, and that isn't necessary for what we're doing.

Unless you want to use ML enhanced system, you can use any script package that will work with the any or all of the following systems:

Safe zone (the oldest system around)
Dynchannel (as used by all Gorean Meter weapons scripts, the most common system)
GLM (almost dead now)
I am not sure about DCS but i think so.

The server will allow you to fine tune the damage range and other factors
